Return from Insanity
My head is clouded
with ill thoughts and negative images
I sit crouched on my bed
Head between my knees
I want to rid my mind of these things!
With struggle and fighting comes not help at all
I hope to be free, but in trying I come to fail
Then I see your face
Swimming before the images I have created
Your voice is faint but I still make it out
through my screaming that is swallowing my mind into insanity
Your voice, so gentle, it penetrates my heart
you say, 'Come back, I love you, Come back
...to the world of the living'
The words linger in my mind
'--I love you--'
My mind has gone to peace now
I open my weak eyes
And see you there holding my limp form
Gently in your arms
Upon seeing my return you let out a cry
And kiss my pale lips with those soft lips of yours
I love you too.
