Shall we impose
in on the life of a rose
Tortured and neglected
The image reflected
in a shallow pond
Never looking beyond
What will tomorrow bring?
Yellow birds that sing?
The sun's rays are blocked
Beyond dark clouds are locked
Depriving the rose of life
Leaving it in strife
When lost is all hope
And the rose can only mope
Kind hands pull it in
And suddenly life can begin
The rose stands up tall
Her name it does call
She shakes her leaves of dew
Now life begins anew
in on the life of a rose
